What Comes Next After The Storm?

If you're a Nigerian late 80s baby or early 90s, you probably caught a soap on TV with the same title as my post.
What really comes next after the storm?
The last few days have been utterly sad. It has gone from one of my friends losing her mom, to D'banj losing his son to Nigeria getting balled out of the 2018 world cup.
Now that the storm has raged and has gone with some things it did not come with, what do we do with the wreckage left behind?
I normally do nothing...
For the first few hours, days or even weeks, I do nothing.
I let the pain take its course.
I leave the sores open but never long enough for it to fester.
The storms may take very precious things from us but at some point, we need to open our minds to new beginnings and new life.
No matter how hard the storm hits, it leaves behind the essence for recultivation.
It is, however, very easy to overlook this essence and not take advantage of it simply because of the grief and shock that life has unsolicitedly brought our way.
We must understand that it is the ups and downs that really make up this uncertainty called life.
After the storm comes the calm.
After the storm comes a clearer perspective and another slate for us to make the choice to live our best lives, no matter what.
After the storm, comes the rainbow...
May God grant  peace to the dearly departed and provide the succour and strength for their loved ones to move on.

Rest in Peace Mrs Bola Ojo,
Rest in Peace Daniel Oyebanjo III
